James is one of the founding members of Japanese Knotweed Ltd (est. 2010) and co-leads the Environmental Control Group’s businesses, ensuring company goals are established and reached.

James ensures the company’s ‘safety first’ policy is upheld, through best practices and procedures in all matters H&S. James has written and manages the company’s environmental management system. He is also a key part of the amenity weed management team, ensuring contract delivery meets required standards.

James is responsible for managing and driving the Operations Department to ensure the delivery of exceptional service to customers in an efficient and profitable manner.

He was operational lead on the company’s largest excavation and relocation job at £1.4 m which was spread over numerous HS2 sites and teams whilst hiring in plant and specialist operators contractors and fulfilling strict induction requirements to complete the work.

James spearheads the designs /requirements and ongoing continuous improvement for the company’s internally developed project management and scheduling systems.

Leading the company in modernising its H&S requirements and becoming a “safety first” contractor including implementing dynamic risk assessments, formalising PUWER/LOLER requirements updating its RAMS and assisting the company to push forward with its diversification plans.

Through experience created, documented, implemented and made the company’s Environmental Management System legislative compliant, including documenting its environmental objectives.

James leads the operational side of the business through its continuous development in the use of herbicides and the management of them in line with the Amenity Standard requirements.
